When we face our first interior design of our house, we come to conclusions in which usability should find a balance with our aesthetic beliefs. Each person has a different perception of broadly understood beauty. Each of us perceives the world differently, perceives colours differently and likes different things. One person loves fast sports cars, while someone else finds himself in off-road, cross-country cars or motorcycles. We are unable to give a reasonable argument which of the above examples is the quintessence of beauty and is the only true canon of the above.

From Scandinavia to the basics...

Where white likes to intertwine with blue, where harsh lands are often covered with hard ice, one of the most interesting styles of recent years was created. The Scandinavian approach to interiors is a very original and at the same time minimalist creation of space. Combining wood, often with the boho style, where white refreshing colour in cooperation with raw furniture - often made of pallets, has found recognition among millions of people around the world. It would seem that it is hard to come up with something new in the field of interior design, but we managed. This style is unique and at the same time very subtle. If we compared the boho-scandi style with, for example, the above-mentioned classic style, we would get completely different opposing worlds.

From Oslo to Paris...

The classic style began its adventure in French salons, or rather it was inspired by them. Huge, bright and spacious interiors, created for fun and parties. They made this style, without the slightest perturbation, gain recognition in the world's salons. The colours that dominate the classic style are mostly natural or subdued. We will not find Country-house pastels or modern sharp technical solutions here. Delicate finishes harmonize perfectly with wooden furniture and very often large, spacious windows in retro style. Definitely, this style focuses on the effect straight from the palaces and is characterized by incredible spaciousness.

Elegant France? Not only.

In addition to the interiors, which are very different from each other and their juxtaposition gives an exceptionally high contrast, there are also those that gained their recognition in a different way. Starting with the Country-house style, which loves pastel colours, lavender or heather exposed against the wooden floor, which is often "worn out". It is also often combined with the Louis style, primarily in the context of furniture, i.e. quilted materials and velvet covers.

Welcome to Hollywood.

The complete opposite of the Country-house style is glamour. The characteristics of this home decor can be described in a few words, i.e. luxury, flash and chic. Undoubtedly, it would be tactless to claim this style in these three specific words, because its history goes back much further and requires respect in the context of the entire culture inside the apartment. Glamour is the art of film of the early twentieth century, transferred from the cinema to tapes to the wooden floors and walls of apartments and houses. It is the opposite to minimalism and modest decor that prevailed in those days not only in the USA, but also in the world. The recapitulation of the glamour style is its undoubted romanticism with the art of wealth. She loves beautiful crystal hanging chandeliers, gold and silver decorations, and vintage/retro accessories. It is also not uncommon to find ceiling or wall stucco here. This is definitely the style of people who appreciate luxury and wealth.

Just what do I like?

It is worth remembering, however, that the types of interior are a very broad and extensive topic. It is also not unambiguous, because very often we can find a mix of several of the above. Often, such treatments allow you to get the expected effect. It is not always worth closing yourself in a frame, often what we perceive as subjectively beautiful makes us still free people.
